Title: CONNECTIONS of unfinished work in TWENTYFOURSEVEN

The ‘CONNECTIONS unfinished work in TWENTYFOURSEVEN’ is the title of the performance art. It is an integration of the sounds and images of video clips and ethnic music played by the performers using junk materials such as recycled items. In the performance, is divided into 3 segments:

1) SHUTTER (Experimentation of Lights effect)-It is the ‘connection’ between shutter and light. Shutter is part of the camera lens that capture pictures. It can be our observation to the real world. A gesture of light tells the beginning of life in human activities and our environmental surrounding as well. Shutter is the method human, environmental and social events.

2) EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO OF MANIMALS (Human and Animal)-It is the ‘connection’ between humans and animal and expressed as a new term called ‘manimal’. Manimal symbolizes the dictatorship of the human, that rule the world. Nowdays, manimal rule us because we never tolerate certain values that call for life and happiness. We always forget of what we have and do not appreciate life as it is.

3) PENANG – It is connection between Penang cultures, people and religions. It is human activities into one roof which is Penang Island. It is the background of the two previous videos which examines issues like integrity, truth, reliability and fact. Penang is the best place that still keeps its integrity among three races that live happily under one roof as ‘one nation and one Malaysia’. Scenes of Penang life shows the intermingling of its various races, cultures and religions all fused as ONE.
